Christianity is declining,
the demography is changing, but the access and opportunity are greater than ever before!
Christianity is declining, not because of persecution, lack of resources, methods, or people. It is declining because we often look beyond, failing to recognize that most of the people we are called to reach are already living among us.
Christianity is declining
In 1900, the world population was approximately 1.65 billion, and Christians numbered 558 million, accounting for 34.5% of the global population. Over the following years, the population grew exponentially. By 2020, it had surpassed 7.8 billion, with Christians accounting for 2.26 billion, or 28.8%. Although the number of Christians is growing, the overall growth rate has declined significantly. Globally, for every one person who becomes
a Christian, about 3.1 people leave the faith. According to the Pew Research Center, if current trends hold, Christianity may no longer be the world's largest religion within the next 50 years.
Changing demography
We always hear that the "people who have never heard the gospel" are everywhere. But it is increasingly becoming those who "oppose or are skeptical" of Jesus Christ and the Christian faith. Most gospel-sharing methods are designed to reach the poor and marginalized who live in rural areas. But the fast-growing number of those who are not able to believe know about Jesus Christ and the Christian faith.
The great opportunity
The total number of Christian workers is around 14 million in 2025, which is about 0.17% of the world population. But Christians make up 28.8% of the population worldwide. For every Christian worker, there are about 578 people who are not able to believe in Jesus Christ, but for every one Christian, there are only about three who are not able to believe in Jesus Christ. And these people who are unable to believe are not in some remote jungle; they are among family members, friends, neighbors, and coworkers.

and will spend eternity with Him
