How To Lead
As the leader, you form and lead the witnessing team. You must ensure the team meets regularly and that members stay consistent in the “Core Routine." The following is the process of forming and leading a WT.
1. Invite Members
1) Share the mission
Share the need to witness with fellow Christians in your family, friends, church, organization, or group. Use the information from the Mission (Challenges & Solution) section. You may do it face-to-face or online.
2) Introducing the Witnessing Team
Share about the Witnessing Team and its functionalities.
3) Invite
Invite them to WT by following steps 1 to 3 in the Quick Start.
2. Provide Training
1) Witnessing Matrix
Go through Witnessing Matrix as a team
2) Witnessing Concepts
Team members must read/listen to the witnessing concepts. It is crucial that team members go through those as soon as possible. They provide clarity, understanding, direction, and unshakable reasons to be a witness.
3) Daily Thoughts
Encourage the members to go through the Daily Thoughts and pray every day and select the check mark.
4) Team Chat
The team can securely communicate through the Team Chat.
3. Lead Team Meetings
Meeting consistently is crucial. It facilitates prayer, mutual learning, encouragement, and accountability.
1) Team Meetings
-
Venue: The team may meet before or after church service, before or after small group meetings, or in coffee shops or any other convenient place.
-
Mode: Decide together the mode (online/face-to-face) of the team meeting.
-
Frequency: The team must meet at least twice a month; if it wants to meet more frequently, you may do so.
-
Duration: The team must not meet for more than 30 mins. This keeps the team meeting focused.
2) Meeting Discussions
-
Make sure the team meeting centers on the four questions on the team meeting page.
-
When team members respond to the 4th question, they may post it in the Team Chat, where it can stay as a reminder.
-
Now and then, you may initiate discussions about concepts or daily thoughts to keep the team motivated.
3) Meeting Attendance
After the team meetings, mark their attendance in the leader's dashboard.
4. Support Members
You can monitor members’ status, progress, and participation through the Leader Dashboard. Developing a lifestyle of witnessing is built on the simple secret of maintaining consistent daily routines. Providing regular follow-up, encouragement, and support is one of your most important responsibilities. Through consistent guidance and accountability, help members stay consistent in their journey, ensuring steady growth and participation.
1) Member Status
Inactive: If any member does not listen to or read Daily Thoughts (DT) for 10 consecutive days, the member's status becomes inactive. They may need your encouragement to get back on track.
Invited: When a member is invited, the status shows up as Invited till the user registers and activates. Follow up with such users and guide them to activate.
Active: Users are considered active once they activate their account and complete Daily Thoughts regularly.
2) Dashboard Progress
When each team member completes the Witnessing Concepts (CC) and Daily Thoughts (DT), it increases the count on the dashboard. If they lag, they may need encouragement.
